Oakland Athletics relocation to Las Vegas
The Oakland Athletics relocation to Las Vegas is an effort by the owners of the Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) to move the franchise from Oakland, California, to the Las Vegas metropolitan area in Nevada. The team was based in Oakland from 1968 through 2024, during which it won four World Series titles.
